The legacy of Bnei Yisrael - Judaism from the origin

The book of Genesis tells us how, back in the days, our father Jacob wrestled with an angel for the whole night. By sunrise, Jacob was forever changed. He became Yisrael - meaning "The one who wrestles with God." His descendants, bound by this transformation, became known as the Bnei Yisrael, the Children of Israel.

Since then, Bnei Yisrael carried this memory within them in all their journeys. This spark of the divine was carried through generations of hardship and persecutions. It became the cornerstone of our faith, of our connection with HaShem, Our God.

Centuries later, Bnei Yisrael built a kingdom, witnessed its fall, and scattered into exile across the globe. Yet, the flame of Israelite heritage never truly flickered. Rabbis and scholars elaborated on its mysteries in scriptures known as Kabbalah. They saw the Children of Israel not just as a physical lineage, but as a spiritual one, each soul carrying a spark of that wrestling night, a potential for connection with the Divine, a possibility of Teshuva (Repentance), Tikkun (Repair), and Ge'ula (Redemption).

And then, a miracle happened: Bnei Yisrael, the scattered descendants of Jacob, returned to the land of their ancestors. The State of Israel was established, where the legacy of the Children of Israel lives on today.

We, in Hebrew Bible Study, stand for Torah, Hebrew, and Judaic learning from the Original Bnei Yisrael. We offer learning from a living library, where the wisdom of the Torah is made available, the insights of Kabbalah illuminate the path, and the vibrant traditions of a people are practiced. Learning Judaism from the descendants of the Bnei Yisrael isn't just about acquiring knowledge; it's about immersing yourself in a breathing heritage, a tapestry woven from generations of faith, struggle, and triumph.
